Daily horseracing stats for uk horseracing

The aim of the site is to help the punter have as much

detailed statistical information about the horseracing event

they are interested in more readily .

prem.stats

the prem stats are computer generated to a rating based

on form ,speed. jockey, trainer ,going etc…..

specific to the course.

Joc.trainer.stats

these figures give a full picture of jockey and trainer

performance over a full year.

Lite.stats

this information is an alternative method which

has a class bias and also includes a pace element .

much of this data is manually calculated.

these figures are not available elsewhere.

Pro.sheets

the pro.sheets are available around 11.30am on

the morning of racing . they are produced using

details from the other stats and an element of the

betting market.

producing this information is labour and time

intensive. Therefore the Pro.sheets will only be

available by subscription @ £5.00 per month. all

other stats are free .

Glossary of terms

pro.sheet

time. Time of race

track. Name of track

horse. Name of horse

OR. official rating

no. saddle cloth number

x1. an algorithm based on jockey and trainer performance at the course

multi. An algorithm based on overall performance with a class bias

RS. an algorithm based on upto 30 factors. Including horse, jockey , trainer, conditions.

Cls.bias . Another algorithm biased towards class

SU. this is a suitability stat . This is the same stat which appears under the column wp.jts in the

jockey and trainer stats. This stat alone is in my opinion the most important . The figure is calculated using the win% and placed% divided by 2 to give a base efficiency total . This figure plus the jockey 1year win% + the trainer 1year win% + the sire win% .this total isthen divided by 4 to give an overall suitability rating. This rating is different from the suitability rating in the prem. Ratings . Which are calculation specifically for that particular course. The SU figure does not include any form or speed or class stats . It is a raw or pure figure which is not distorted by outside influence .

J.T . this is another jockey and trainer figure . The figure is made up of the jockey 1year w% plus the trainer 30day and 1year win% . The jt30 is just the j.t figure divided by 30 .

pace+ .this figure is gained from the lite sheet which has the run style figure which is from

6 down to 1 . 6 represents a front runner and 1 represents a backmarker. Horses that have not run

before are given a 3 representing a horse that runs mid table . This figure is then multipled by ten and dived by TA% /100 the lite table .TA% means total average .

S+A. This is a form score used from the prem ratings it includes form and speed figures .

Mkt. Is the betting market . This is a difficult one. For the sake of publishing this info online I use the racingpost live betting market in the evening before racing . This can change dramactically overnight and early morning . But in order to publish info online and create a meaningful odds line

myself try to get the info out early. The figures I use are 10 for the favourite , then 9 ,8, etc going down to 10/1. sometimes the market has not fully formed and horses will be priced together .

SU.MKT this figure uses the SU figure divided by ten then multiply by the MKT +1 to give a figure . These figures can be quite volatile , which is why I do not claim fancy strke rates for the

base ratings. Having said that caluculating your own figures using just the MKT and SU figures

from late morning to pre race will usually get a strike rate in the high 60% to 70%. a high strike rate

is not enough on its own you will need to create a 100% betting tissue , forecast price and determine your own price .

C1…C2….ETC. This is just a 3 points top. 2 points second . 3Points third .consensus figure .

The CTOT is the total C points + 1 to give every horse a score. This is just to identify the better

horses more readily.

MX5 this figure is the sum total of the 5 most relavant columns divided by 10 .

MX5.MKT . Is the MX5 figure times the MKT figure .

Hopefully , this makes the figures more meaningful. As stated earlier with the inclusion of a volatile

betting market figure the figures can change markedly. But hopefully your betting will improve.

I spend between 10 to 12 hours a day producing these figures . Please respect this .

Because of the volatile nature of the betting market I will issue an update of the ratings

around mid day depending on the number of meetings .
